Part One:
Blind Date: First introduction – The meeting is arranged
(Kirk In The Hills)
Sometime approximately between 1974 (return from U of Chicago) and 1978 (Superman movie)
Living with my parents on Curie Avenue, lower corner bedroom
Woke up on a Sunday morning with the inexplicable message that I was to go to a church in Bloomfield Hills. Kirk in the Hills
I had never been there, or even seen it, and didn”t know anyone related to it.
No idea why I would suddenly for no apparent reason have the incessant urging to there, but I did.
Went there with no idea of why or what I was looking for. Wandered around the big blooming beautiful grounds and gardens, until I suddenly found my reason:
She was sitting alone on a park bench in the middle of a large clearing.
Without fanfare I walked over, introduced myself, and begin talking with her.
Conversation went very well after strolling around the grounds we eventually decidedto leave together, and to continue to enjoy each other’s company elsewhere
I went to her place, and we remained together for the evening.
and in similar fashion we continued to see each other, to the point of moving in together, an arrangement which was to endure for years.
